Frequently asked questions
Is it a medical device?
No. FairStream Pulse is a wellness tool for self-awareness and relaxation. It is not for diagnosis or treatment and the values are not a health assessment.
How much does it cost?
The app is an experimental project at the testing stage.
What do I need?
The guide: a phone, a tablet or a computer with a browser. The participant: an Android phone or an iPhone and a sensor that sends heart rate over Bluetooth. Without a sensor you can try the simulation.
Where do I buy a sensor?
The StressLocator BM1000C finger sensor is in the Happy Electronics shop (link on the Devices page). The Emet Wireless skin conductance sensor (BT-GSR) is on pre-sale there too. Chest straps and watches are widely available.
Why is there no HRV?
HRV needs the intervals between heartbeats. Chest straps and the finger sensor send them, most watches send heart rate only. Details are listed for each device.
Who will see my values?
Only the guide and the participant of that session. They are stored only when the guide enables it for the session and you consent.
What if the connection drops?
A short drop does not split the meeting. When the room stays empty for two minutes, the meeting is saved and the next connection starts a new recording.
Where do I get the app?
The web version runs at therapy.fairstream.live. The Android and iPhone apps are in testing; get an invitation through the I want to test form.
Where can I ask or report a bug?
On the community forum in the FairStream Pulse section, by e-mail at support@fairstream.live or right in the app via “Report a problem”.
